LIST OF INDUSTRIAL PARKS IN VIETNAM
1. OVERVIEW OF THE NORTHERN KEY ECONOMIC ZONE IN VIETNAM
Northern key economic region, established under Decision No.747 / TTg dated 11th September, 1997 by the Prime Minister includes Hanoi, Hai Phong and Quang Ninh, Hung Yen and Hai Duong provinces. According to Decision No.145/2004/QD-TTg dated August 13, 2004 of the Prime Minister on "Orietation and the main tasks in the northern key economic region to 2010 and beyond looking to 2020 ”, the northern key economic region has been added with two provinces including Vinh Phuc and Bac Ninh provinces. Thus, the northern key economic region covers including 7 provinces and cities directly under the Central Government, including Hanoi and Vinh Phuc, Bac Ninh, Quang Ninh, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Hung Yen. Up to now, this is the main region that are developing heavy industries and high-tech industries, with many sea ports and industrial parks grown up.
The Northern Key Economic Zone is the centre of the political and economic center economy, culture and science - technology of the country, where the task is central agencies, operating centers of many groups major economic institutions, training facilities, research and development departments learning - national technology and many industrial parks for investiagation and manufacturing developed. This is a core area, the driving force promote the economic development of the Red River Delta region. Of which, Hanoi, Hai Phong City and Quang Ninh province form a triangle development of the northern key economic region, thereby spreading and enticing other industrial network and making provinces closer with each other in the process of promoting the Red River Delta's socio-economic development as well as whole country's economy.

2. WHICH PROVINCES ARE STRONG IN THIS ZONE?
The Northern key economic region has large amount of important minerals as coal with reserves accounting for 98% of coal reserves of Vietnam, brown coal, limestone for cement with reserves of more than 20%, which mainly serve the fast pace of industry development of this region and whole country with many factories of manufacturing cement, steel, etc.. In addition, the region has the advantage of famous domestic and international tourist destinations such as the bay Ha Long has been recognized by UNESCO as a natural heritage site world.
Beaches and landscapes are important resources Of the area. The efficient exploitation of mineral resources production as well as advantages in tourism have been creating foundation for economic development of this region and the whole country, from which a series of industries and other types of services have developed accordingly. Industrial parks have been developed strongly in Hanoi, Vinh Phuc, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh and Hai Duong provinces to attract investors coming. Many industries with high-advanced technology are developed in Ha Noi, Hai Phong and Bac Ninh province.
The report on the general socio-economic development of the northern key economic region and the results of the implementation of the Prime Minister's decisions on the key economic region development shows that, in the period 2016-2018 and the first months of the year In 2019, the Northern Key Economic Region continues to develop, achieving positive results, exceeding many of the targets set out in the Prime Minister's Decision No. 198/QD-TTg on overall approval of socio-economic development. Accordingly, the average growth rate of gross domestic product (GRDP) of the region in the past three years reached 9.08% per year, high most in key economic regions (in which, the most prominent is Hai Phong with 14.57% per year). GRDP per capita of the Region in 2018 reached USD 4,813, 1.86 times higher than the national average. The total GRDP of the Region in 2018 accounted for 31.73% of the country's GDP, ranked second, after the Southern Key Economic Region (in which, Hanoi continued to assert its leading role with the contribution of nearly 17% GDP of the country).
